Press F8 when you open your computer or when windows start, go to Start then select Run. Type msconfig then on the Boot.ini tab, select /SAFEBOOT. Click Ok. There will be a prompt asking if you want to restart your computer. Click ok. When it restart, it will be automatically in Safe Mode. Just reverse everything when you want to start in normal mode. Just go to start, then Run, type Msconfig then in General tab just select Normal Startup.
